These exquisite pieces are the product of merging three dimensional design, with the latest technology in 3D printing to bring intricate designs to the three dimensional world. Each model is first 3D printed in wax, then cast in precious or semi-precious metals, using traditional casting techniques. Each piece of these exquisite line is made one at the time, no molds, no mass production, and in some occasions when the piece demands it, I hand finish it by texturing it, oxidizing it, or enhancing their detail in my home studio.
The "Peacock" pendant is our signature piece, and is the first piece of jewelry I designed following a process sometimes called 'generative design'. This "Peacock" represents the perfect balance between art and mathematics, and brings to life a piece of jewelry impossible to make by traditional methods. Once upon a time, 3D printing technology was thought to be used only in manufacturing processes. Today, this technology makes it possible to bring designs to life, that are impossible to carve by hand using traditional wax carving methods.
A metal known for its strength and industrial applications is used here as 'wearable steel'. After its conception in the digital world, each model is made in stainless steel by a process called laser sintering, then infused with bronze resulting on each piece having a 60% stainless steel, 40% bronze to produce strong, yet beautiful jewelry.
Precious, semi-precious metals or wearable steel with motifs allegoric to beautiful places and people. Each design uniquely conceive to bering back memories of that special place that touched your heart and mind.
